In 2023, I walked into a CrossFit gym with one simple goal: help my son get off screens and into something active. What I didn't expect was how much I needed it too.
At the time, I could barely get up off the floor without help. I was stiff, weak, and couldn't even lift my arms fully overhead. It was humbling and honestly, a little discouraging. Progress didn't come quickly, but I kept showing up.
Three years later, everything has changed.
My son and I are both stronger, physically and mentally. What started as a small step toward healthier habits turned into something much bigger: confidence, resilience, and time spent growing together. CrossFit along with nutrition coaching has given me more stable energy, fewer crashes and better lab numbers, not to mention helping me lose a few pounds.
And the best part? About six months ago, my husband joined us and it's been incredible to watch his journey unfold. He's lost over 30 pounds, made consistent healthier choices, and found a new level of energy and confidence. Seeing his transformation has been just as inspiring as experiencing my own.
What began as a personal challenge has turned into a family lifestyle. We're showing up for ourselves and for each other, stronger together, one workout at a time.
